Renewing vocational education and training to tackle skill mismatch: work-based learning and apprenticeship for all? Cedefop, Thessaloniki, 26 April 2013

April 2nd 2013

The conference brings together policy makers to discuss future skill needs, and how vocational education and training is currently responding to high youth unemployment, the risk of social exclusion, and the need for growth. Participants will debate the results of Cedefop’s skill forecast, with its first outlook to 2025, and how to best incorporate this new information into planning for vocational education and training. We will also explore how peer learning and alliances can help to develop work-based learning; how different models of apprenticeship can help address youth unemployment; and how vocational education and training can encourage people to turn their ideas into business and career opportunities.
